About the Ally Challenge

Who should sign up for the Ally Challenge?
Anyone who wants to accelerate acceptance for LGBT people.

What is the Ally Challenge?
It's a fun way to talk to your friends about LGBT acceptance. First you take the #GotYourBack pledge, and then you take a selfie for your profile (don't forget to use the hashtag #GotYourBack!) and ask your friends and family to join you.

When is the Ally Challenge happening?
Right now until the end of the month. We have just a few short weeks to show the world the power of LGBT acceptance!

Where is the Ally Challenge?
On your own personal profile! You can see all your friends who have pledged to support the LGBT community and ask more of them to join you.

Why does the Ally Challenge matter?
A third of non-LGBT Americans say that just seeing a same-sex couple holding hands makes them uncomfortable. This includes 13% who say it makes them very uncomfortable. That means there's a large gap between the laws and our culture, in which LGBT people are still being rejected. That's why we need you. By getting everyone we know to speak out for the LGBT community, we can start changing hearts and minds.

How does the Ally Challenge work?
It's easy. We've set everything up, from your own personal profile to sample emails and Facebook posts, so all you have to do is fill in your information and you're on your way to accelerating acceptance!
